Group shots of "the grandkids" never really work. And...we're missing a million of them!

Nothing much to say about this one...just the three of us.

This was inside the Natural History Museum. There was a National Geographic Photo display. This picture was too cute so we took a picture of the picture!

The WWII memorial. Each of the pillars with wreaths stands for a state (or territory).

My favorite Smithsonian museum (The Museum of American History) was closed for renovations, but a small sample was on display at the Air and Space Museum.

This is inside Sen. Mitch McConnell's office at the Capitol. Since he's Senate Minority Leader he gets a nice office at the Capitol and at the Russell Sentate Building. We saw both. :)

Pictures from the rotunda...
The ceiling is around 200 feet tall! The pictures on the ceiling represent the 13 colonies and victory. The pictures in frames are sectioned into 2 eras: Founding the Land and Founding the Government. The last picture shows a chronological history of the land beginning with Columbus and ending with the Wright Brothers at Kitty Hawk.
