I went into the laundry room this afternoon to put some clothes into the dryer. When I returned, I found Marshall doing this...

Then he thought he'd fix it by putting the nearly empty container of wipes back into the diaper bag! So helpful!

We spent some time cleaning this weekend, and I ran across the hand-painted chair my friend Teresa made for Marshall. I decided it was time to get a few pictures with Marshall and the chair. In the last picture, he started "bringing home a baby bumblebee!" They're singing that song at daycare, and he'll randomly bust a move even when no one is singing the song!

Mmmmmmmm, chicken parmesan! He didn't throw this meal on the floor!

Marshall received his first birthday present today! Sarah, Eric, and Alyssa sent Marshall an adorable "Birthday Boy" bib. He wasn't quite sure what to do with the package, but he managed to get the bib out (with a little help from Matt). Unfortunately, his happiness turned to sadness when I wouldn't let him have the camera! We'll get a better picture on his birthday, Sarah. Thanks so much for thinking of Marshall!

Marshall and I went to a baby shower today for Jenny and baby Anna. I couldn't take any pictures during the shower since I was keeping track of Marshall, so here are a few from after the shower. Marshall wore his UK hightops for the first time today. You can't really seem them in the picture, but the shoes are too cute!

Matt mowed the yard tonight, and Marshall just stood at the door and watched him for the longest time.

This afternoon we went to the Apple Festival at Evans Orchard in Georgetown. Grams, Grandad, and Uncle Allen went with us. We bought peaches and fried apple pies. We even picked some apples. I think Marshall will have a lot of fun next year when he can run and play in the play area.

Marshall LOVED the fried apple pies.

Marshall and Daddy

Over Labor Day weekend we took Marshall to John the Barber for his first haircut. John, his wife Roseanne, and their daugher Lisa have always been great friends to our family. He was thrilled to give Marshall his first haircut.

Marshall loved watching John finish up with the customer in front of us.

Here we go!
